When I first met the clients of the Cedar Crest Society, I was impressed by their warmth, sincerety and passion for life. As I came to know them better, I realized that they each contribute to our community, by their jobs and daily presence. Many of them are enthusiastic artists, spending much of their time pursuing creative outlets. As one with an interest in portraits, I recognized in their rich and open characters, the ultimate subjects. I spent the latter part of November and month of December, sitting with each of these persons to get an initial sketch and impression. This was the most enjoyable part of the project as with each, I left feeling I'd made I new friend and gained respect for that individual. In this project, I hope to honor each of these persons and all of those who are involved with Cedar Crest. They are a valuable part of our community, contributing their service, unique personalities and friendship.
